Act Out
Act Out is a group that publicly supports gay rights and mounts its own campaigns for equality and visibility by providing information and mobilizing gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people and their allies.  Contact:  email
American Civil Liberties Union - Arizona (ACLU-AZ)

The ACLU of Arizona works to protect civil liberties in this state. Since our founding in 1959, we have fought to defend individual rights in Arizona through litigation, legislation, and public education.  (See also:  The ACLU's LGBT Project page.)

Arizona Central Pride
Arizona Central Pride (ACP) promotes unity, visibility, and self-esteem among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons; and promotes a positive image in the Valley of the Sun and throughout Arizona through community activities and services.  The largest event coordinated by ACP is an annual celebration and fundraiser, known as the ACP Phoenix Pride Parade and Festival.
Arizona Democrats' Stonewall Caucus

The Arizona Stonewall Democrats are devoted to advancing equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We are the recognized Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender caucus to the Arizona Democratic Party. We strive for equality and political change by promoting voter registration, education and participation. Our membership is open to those that support our mission and believe in equal treatment of all people.

Arizona Libertarian Party

Part of the only political party whose platform demands the government stop anti-gay discrimination. Information, Tim at 602-867-3988 or via email.

Equality Arizona (formerly known as AHRF - Arizona Human Rights Fund)

The Equality Arizona Advocacy Fund and its sister organization, the Equality Arizona Education Foundation, are single-mission driven: to secure, protect and defend the rights and welfare of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals living in Arizona.

The Equality Arizona Advocacy Fund is the state's largest LGBT civil rights organization. The Equality Arizona Advocacy Fund leads efforts for LGBT civil rights at the state and local levels through an array of strategies including lobbying legislators and other elected and appointed officials; sponsoring bills and opposing negative legislation; building coalitions; and empowering other organizations and individuals to engage in the legislative process.

The Equality Arizona Political Action Committee (PAC) endorses candidates and supports their campaigns through donations and volunteer muscle. Through the efforts of the Equality ArizonaPAC, we are working to expand the number of fair-minded representatives in state government.

The Equality Arizona Education Foundation educates LGBT people and the public at large about issues impacting the LGBT community and our allies, trains them to respond and work proactively for LGBT equality, and connects communities working for justice and civil rights for all. The Equality Arizona Education Foundation  organizes advocacy trainings, forums and topical briefings in partnership with statewide organizations and individuals.

GLSEN Phoenix (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network)

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. Since homophobia and heterosexism undermine a healthy school climate, we work to educate teachers, students and the public at large about the damaging effects these forces have on youth and adults alike.

Human Rights Campaign (HRC) - Phoenix Area Steering Committee
HRC's Greater Phoenix Area Steering Committee works to support the missions and goals of HRC, and to provide local leadership and advocacy for HRC objectives.
It's Time, Arizona (ITAZ)
A grassroots advocacy organization which promotes positive civic, social and political changes for the Transgender Community.  Contact:  email
Lesbian and Gay Public Awareness Project
Providing resources for people to educate others about our community. We believe that a continued commitment to public education is essential for changing the public's attitudes -- as well as the people around you.
Log Cabin Republicans of Arizona
Log Cabin Republicans is the nation's largest organization of Republicans who support fairness, freedom, and equality for gay and lesbian Americans. Log Cabin has state and local chapters nationwide, a full-time Washington office, and a federal political action committee.
