counselor listed in this section, nor do we evaluate the background, training,
affirmativeness or skill of anyone listed in this directory . Some
counselors are listed here because of our chapter's past interaction with them.
Some are listed here because they have been recommended by members of our
chapter. Others are listed here simply because they wrote to us and asked
to be included. The sexual orientation of any counselor listed should not
be inferred merely by the fact that he or she is listed. It is imperative that anyone seeking out counseling
services ask pertinent questions and research background information to
ascertain for themselves the qualifications of the individual they shall
seek counseling from, and to ascertain whether the degrees and/or certifications
cited after their names have been obtained by that individual.
Furthermore, PFLAG
Phoenix cautions everyone to be aware of any individual or group who promises
a "cure" or "fix" for homosexuality, bisexuality and/or for transgender
issues.
