We're Here, We're Dear, and Now We're 30!!

Yeah, yeah, we know -- we don't look a day over 25!  We get that ALL the time!  Wow!  30 years!  We're there, cupcakes!  30 years ago, a small set of courageous Phoenix parents got together and took a stand for their gay and lesbian children.  Along the way, many others joined in our efforts, and we owe ALL of them our indebted gratitude.  This November, we plan to pause, to look back, to appreciate, and to celebrate all that has taken place, and to look forward at what we still need to accomplish.  Preliminary details are now released (see below).  Stay tuned for more details as they materialize.  And best yet, come be a part of this magical celebration!

PFLAG Phoenix Plans 30th Anniversary Celebration

November, 2008 marks the 30^th anniversary of PFLAG Phoenix.  If you haven’t heard by now, plans are being made for a Gala Celebration during the weekend of November 6th-8th.   Details will be released as they are finalized, but current plans include a golf tournament, gala dinner, kick-off party, and a performance/concert.  There are several things you can do to help:

1. Go to your calendar right now and reserve those dates (Nov. 6th-8th) to participate in the festivities!

2. Mail your check for PFLAG Phoenix membership today.  There will be discounted tickets available to every event for current PFLAG Phoenix members.  However, if you are not an active (i.e., dues paid) member of PFLAG Phoenix, you will have to pay full price for the events.

3. Think about being on a planning committee.  We need lots of help and ideas.  This will not happen without a large volunteer base.

4. We are looking for PFLAG Phoenix pictures and news from the last 30 years.  If you have pictures, news clippings, or stories, please consider sharing.
