Q.  After Subscribing To Those Email Lists, What Should I Do NEXT?

A.  Get active:  ACT when requested . . . and on your own!

Our strength is in our collective voices (plus, it helps to know 'our side' is right!).  Do your best to respond to every 'action alert' -- they usually take less than a minute to respond.  Follow the simple instructions included, and send the requested email message (they'll pre-format it for you), send faxes when requested, make calls when requested (they'll usually provide a script for you), and definitely write postcards or letters (the most effective tool) when requested.

And, important to note:  You don't have to wait for 'action alerts' to be sent to speak out on an urgent issue.  Use our "Take Action' Center (see right-hand column on our main Advocacy page) to speak out to your federal or state representatives, or directly to the media!  Useful 'talking points' and background information for most issues can be found on the Equality Arizona,  HRC, and PFLAG national websites.
